Allison 250-C20J Engine for Sale
This engine had the mini turbine inspection in June 2000 by Standard Aero. The following is a
recent narrative by a Standard Aero manager regarding this engine.

This engine has 1383.4 TSO on all the components (compressor, turbine & gearbox). I will address each module
below as well as the accessories.
Compressor:
TSO 1838.4 This unit has the coupling adapter that is affected by AD 2004-26-09. Basically it must be removed from service by March 2012. Other than that, the compressor looks ok. Basically, to accomplish
this, the compressor has to come all the way apart and the impeller must be machined out to fit the new style
coupling adapter. If I had to estimate a cost to repair, I would say $5-8 K mainly since the engine has
not been used other than test time and the spur adapter gearshaft should be fine.
Gearbox:
TSO 1838.4 This unit appears to still retain the ball bearings in the #3 and #4 area. That is fine up until there
is an issue with either of them as they are no longer available and the CEB 1274 (Roller Bearing Mod) would need
to be incorporated. The gearbox had an inspection done in 2000 and is up to dated on CEB's to that date.
Turbine:
TSO 1838.4. Per the records and the P/N of the turbine (6898735) it does not have the containment ring
installed. This has to be incorporated by Oct. 31, 2011. Also, at this time, the tiebolt 23008020 which is installed
will have to be replaced by a 23068265 per CEB 1371. There may be other things that have to happen as well at
this time. Estimated cost to repair would be around $15K, maybe more depending on nozzles installed.
Again, this is based on the engine not having been run other than the test time.
Fuel Nozzle:
TSO 797.4. The P/N installed is 6890917 and would require CEB-1394 & AD 2306-16-04 to be complied with.
Not a huge deal, but something none the less. Estimate to repair is around $300-$500.
Fuel Control:
TSO 797.4 Should be fine until it goes into the shop next visit and would require a few CEB's to be complied with.
Governor:
TSO 0.0 This is the latest P/N and should be fine.
Bleed Valve:
TSO 0.0 This is the latest P/N and should be fine.
Fuel Pump:
TSO 1838.4 This is the latest P/N and should be fine.
